After a slow start and conceding 2 goals in the opening 10 mins the Hares had a mountain to climb, however they showed great character to re-group and make a game of it against a team who are 2 divisions above them. Both teams went close particularly the Hares with near misses fromThomas Ciarla and Roy Devlia, whilst, keeper, George Pear pulled off a number of great saves. The second half saw Lemsford increase their lead and go 3 up, but Thomas Gregory put in a” man of the match” performance by controlling the midfield and scoring Hares first, Mitchell Winkworth came on as a second half sub immediately made an impact and played well. The last 15 mins was all pressure on Lemsford with Hares getting stronger and stronger this was rewarded with a well taken goal by Roy Devlia which brought the score teasingly close at 3 – 2. Unfortunately the Hares fight back ran out of time even though they were clearly the stronger side at the end finishing score 3-2! Both Roy Devilia and Thomas Gregory have shown good form and consistency and this weekend brought their goal tally so far this season to 3 each ….
