After their two recent defeats the Hares picked themselves up to earn three very valuable points against Welwyn Pegasus. Both teams had early chances with attacks by the Hares strongly defended by a determined Welwyn backline. At half time the scores were level and it was not until midway into the second half that the Hares opened the scoring with another individual goal by Thomas Gregory, who, after holding off several challenges put in a strong shot which could only be parried by a helpless Welwyn keeper who could not stop the ball hitting the back of the net.

A second goal quickly followed from a superb corner taken by Jordan Fort which was netted by the Hares striker Robbie Pear.

With the goals came a more relaxed style of play and more confidence from the Hares and shortly before the end this was rewarded with a fine shot from Roy Devilia which ricocheted in off the post to bring the score to 3-0.

In this game Thomas Gregory, Robbie Pear and Roy Devlia each brought up their individual goal tally to 5 goals each so far this season.

The team welcomed back Ben Leader after his recent injury and in defence Lewis Whittle who also played very soundly was rewarded again this week with ” Man of the Match”
