A beautiful autumn Sunday morning in warm sunshine the Hares returned again this week to Cuffley to take on Cuffley Milan. The Hares still with key players out, owing to half term, started confidently and Robbie Pear opened the scoring with a well taken and strongly struck goal after 12minutes. Ten minutes later the sunshine however caused Robbie Pear in the Hares goal a problem when a long opportunistic strike from Cuffley found the goalkeeper momentarily blinded, when the ball shot passed him and crept in just under the bar.

Just before half time loose marking by Hares when defending a corner enabled Cuffley to scramble a goal to make it 2-1 at half time. George Pear, the Hares keeper, was kept busy throughout the game and made several very good saves under sustained attacks from Cuffley who hit the woodwork on 2 occasions. The second half with the benefit of the sloping pitch and growing confidence Cuffley were the stronger side and after 10 minutes Cuffley made it 3-1 with an excellent goal taken from just inside the penalty area.

The Hares never rallied and allowed Cuffley with too much time on the ball. Louise Whittle and Elliott Higginbotham jointly won Man of the Match
