Well done to the U7s today away at Buntingford Cougars Whites, while they played a couple of their top players we still gave a very good account of ourselves with hat tricks from both James and Austin.
Another good performance and result for the U8 Black’s on Saturday playing away to a strong Stotfold side. With Oliver and Lewis missing the rest of the team had to play well to get anything from this game, with nice football being played and chances for both teams it was Stotfold that scored first. Hares then started to create more chances and the Stotfold keeper pulled off some fine saves to keep Hares out, this didn’t stop Hares trying though and a fine team goal finished by Charlie was the reward. The second half continued much the same as the first with both teams passing the ball around well and some great individual skills on display, Oscar went in goal for Hares allowing Billy to play up top and become provider for Charlie slipping him through to score his second. The game remained end to end stuff and the hard work from Kirin and Jacob in midfield was rewarded by a third goal from MOM Charlie just before the end. A really entertaining game from two good footballing sides.
Good performance today from the U10 Orange boys. Off to another flying start, playing some great one & two touch football with Brandon giving us an early goal, some sloppy defending meant we conceded a couple before half time. The boys kept trying the pass the ball from the back and move forward as a team and their hard work paid off with a deserving goal from Beeshman. Great performances from Toby B & M.O.T.M James.
The U12’s welcomed Plantation Youth to Ralph Sadlier this week. After an even first 10 mins or so a goalkeeping error allowed George Clark to open the scoring for the home side. A rebounded George Clark shot off the post fell kindly to Luke Spowart to add the second soon after. Again it was the Clark/Spowart combination for the 3rd goal, this time Luke Spowart was the provider by sending in a long range free kick into the box for George Clark to bag his second of the game. The Hares were now well on top and a superb through ball from Ben Livermore saw George Clark complete his hat-trick to make it 4-0. Another mistake by the visiting keeper and once again, George Clark pounced to make it 5-0 going into the break. A re-shuffle by the visiting side at half time saw a much improved Plantation Youth. Although under much more pressure in the second half the Hares defended well and were finally rewarded when a neat pass from Tom Griffiths put George Clark through, who finished coolly to score his 5th of the game and make the final score 6-0 to the Hares. Credit to Plantation Youth’s second half performance who probably deserved more out of the game. The result keeps the Hares Top of the League (P7 W6 D1 L0).
Great passing performance today from the U14s, winning 4-0 against a ten man Lemsford. Could’ve been more but some great saves from their goalie denied us! MOTM Luke
