Another miss match of abilities this sat as the U8 Blacks travelled to play Hatfield Youth, playing on the smallest pitch in mini soccer history didn’t stop Hares from playing their passing game and the biggest challenge they had was lack of space and time due to playing on a postage stamp. There were goals galore for Hares in a very one sided game and the team did well with the second half challenge of keeping possession rather than scoring, well they did for five minutes and then they decided to ignore me and score more goals. Close MOTM but well done Oliver.

The U10 Blacks were up against a very strong, fast Stevenage side today. Hares tried to play their football with Oliver, Noah and Leo linking up well at times but Stevenage did a great job quickly closing Hares down and with power. It’s wasn’t the Blacks day today but they should hold their heads high as they never gave up and kept trying to pass the ball around from the back moving it up the field, MOTM Sofia for being very consistent and never dropped her head even when the opposition scored. Well done guys

Great defending today from the U10 boys in Orange. At times some good football going forward, with two great goals coming from Toby W. But it was the defence today that stood out with great performances from Harry, James & MOTM goalkeeper Toby B. The draw possibly a fair result against a fast Hitchin side.

The U12’s travel to Letchworth Garden City Eagles this week for a League Cup first round tie. Playing a team a league above them The Hares knew they had to be at their best, and the game couldn’t have started better for them when George Clarke won a penalty in the early minutes. It was Luke Spowart who stepped up to score from the spot to make it 0-1. The Hares were enjoying most of the play and neat pass from Tom Griffiths saw George Clarke make it 0-2. With the Hares now dictating the game it was only a matter of time before they added to their tally and sure enough after a long through ball from the impressive Luke Spowart it was once again George Clark who finished to make it 0-3. GC completed his hat-trick soon after with a lob over the keeper to make it 0-4 at half-time. Although Letchworth put in a better performance after half-time George Clark had not finished his impressive scoring run and added another 2 goals in the second half to make the final score 0-6 to The Hares. An excellent all round team performance takes The Hares through to a 2nd round tie against Bishops Stortford Wanderers.

Well played today U14s in league cup match against Blacksox who are top of premier division. Held off to 1-1 until 5 mins from the end losing 3-1. There were some big strong lads we were up against and we really stood our ground. Well done Joseph for MOTM
