What an AWESOME game the U10 Blacks had today at home against Pin Green Juniors. These 2 had met a couple of times before with Pin Green being the stronger of the two both times. But today, straight from KO the home side just went for it, the Blacks were strong in the tackle, winning 50/50 balls, pressing the opposition as soon as they got the ball, the whole team played as a team who had the desire to make amends from the previous meetings. Half time come along with neither team gaining the upper hand, even though they both had created chances. Second half the Blacks stepped it up another gear and went out looking for that goal. Although chances were created at both ends it was Hares who came closest and were getting closer every time they attacked. The game really opened up and continued to press forward. But after 50 minutes of some really good, entertaining end to end football it was Hares who deserved to go away with their heads held high. Goals from Noah Man Of the match went to Jed today after a very commanding display.
The U12’s welcomed Stevenage Boro Vipers to Ralph Sadlier this week hoping to get back to winning ways after their defeat last time out. In an even opening to the game both keepers were tested but it was The Hares who broke the deadlock when a great cross from Joey Wedge was headed in by George Clark to make it 1-0. The Hares doubled their lead before Half Time when a cross by George Clark found Tom Griffiths on the right who finished neatly with a clean strike. Boro started the second half strongly but good defending by the home side didn’t allow the visitors to hit back and it was The Hares who added to their tally when a slightly deflected shot by Billy Norman made the score 3-0. There was just enough time for Boro to score a consolation goal but it was The Hares who took all 3 points with a well deserved 3-1 win.
A high scoring game against Ware Youth Clarets for the U14s today who won 14-1 away. The boys got off to a quick start and pressed the opposition all over the pitch from the first whistle which brought goals from Luke, Aus G (2), Harry (2) giving Hares a 5-0 lead at half time. The 2nd half after changing our formation to 4-2-3-1 and goalie Ed coming out on pitch playing left midfield we continued to dominate with quick passing and good movement off the ball. Ware Youth scored with a free header from a corner, however more Hares goals came from Aus G(3), Dom, Dan, Ed, Archie G, Owen and Alex. MOTM today was Ed.
