Today the U7s played Hitchin Town tigers u7s, the whole team was up for the game this week, it helped that the weather was nicer! For the first 10 mins of the match the ball was flying around both ends of the pitch until Hares broke away but Hitchin didn’t give up they wanted to fight back and kept us defending. The second 10 mins, Hitchin were still peppering us but the Hares went for their defence and the play was brilliant. The third 10 mins was mostly the same as before, brilliant play from both teams and 50/50 play in both halves of the pitch with both teams finding the net. The final 10 mins saw both teams fight for the ball with Hitchin keeping Hares from over running them. Player of the match was a very hard choice this week but Harry just edged it, he didn’t stop doing what we asked of him.
Hares Youth U10 Blacks were away at Hitchin Town on Sunday. Due to a pitch mix up we ended up playing on the 3G pitches which the kids were more than happy with. As for the game, Hares started off the much better team, they weren’t allowing Hitchin time on the ball and when the Blacks gained possession they attacked with speed threatening the Hitchin goal several times. Hitchin did have their opportunities but thanks to some good goal keeping and defending from the Blacks they managed to keep Hitchin out. 2nd half was pretty much the same as the first with Hares playing some nice football playing it out from the back, then some one touch passing in the final third made it a great game to watch. But again Hitchin were also playing some good football themselves and made the Blacks work hard for the ball. A very even and exciting game to watch between two teams that at times you couldn’t separate. Goals from Oliver. M.O.T.M went to Noah
