This weekend Hares U7s played Royston Town Eagles away, the weather was much better than the last time the teams met. The match started off quite slow for the Hares letting in some goals in the first quarter. Then the game got started for the Hares coming back with nicely shot goal from Charlie then a hand ball by Royston gave Hares a penalty, which Charlie shot past the goal keeper. Third quarter everyone was trying to beat the Royston keeper, especially Betsy she really wanted to get her first goal for the team, but their defence kept us out. But the Hares wanted more with Charlie and James getting on the score sheet! Last quarter of the match started the same as the last two quarters Hares wanted to keep scoring and they were trying but the game was so end to end no one knew who was gonna score next then James nets some more goals. Everyone making me proud today well done all! Player of the match :- Charlie, his commitment was second to none and he has improved so much and this game really showed he can play a good game of football.

Well done the U8 Black’s for trying to play football this Saturday, really proud of the players and parents.

The U10 Blacks were at home today against Wymondley. This was a very even match with both teams playing some very good football. The Blacks made life very difficult for Wymondley with a very good defensive display and some top goalkeeping from Jed. Going forward we had our chances with Noah going close and Leo shooting just wide with a rocket shot from a tight angle. Second half Hares went looking for a goal but it was beginning to feel like “one of those days” Although the Blacks were attacking in numbers and Leo going close with a free kick,  Wymondleys  defence did a great job keeping us out, the last 10 mins of the game was all Hares but we just couldn’t find that killer touch. The Blacks should be very proud of themselves for taking the game to Wymondley and playing as a team who never gave up, on another day it could have easily been a different result. Great job Boys and Girl.
