The U12’s travelled to Sawbridgeworth Town this week desperately looking for a win to lift their spirits after a recent run of results going against them. The Hares started brightly and had the better of the early chances but despite plenty of efforts on goal they just could not find the net. It was the home side though, against the run of play, who took the lead mid-way through the first half, a lead they were able to somehow hold onto going into half time. Sawbridgeworth came out stronger for the second half and the Home side soon doubled their lead to make it 2-0. The Hares however responded and were back in the game when Luke Spowart was able to run on to a through ball and calmly slotted past the keeper to make it 2-1. The lads now sensed that they could get something out of the game and were pushing for the equaliser they deserved, only to be cruelly caught on the break and concede a third goal ensuring Sawbridgeworth took all 3 points. Despite the loss the boys should be proud of themselves as they put in a much better performance than they have in recent weeks. Hopefully they will take the positives into their last game of the Season next week against Stevenage Boro Cobras.
