Wow what a game for the under 7s today! It was a goal frenzy from both Letchworth and Hares ending in a very high scoring game! Particular credit to Stanley for player of the match who ran his socks off and scored two goals. The boys all worked hard and came from behind on a few occasions to show the parents what they are made of!! Proud parents and managers today, well done boys.

First home game of the season for the under 8s today against Baldock Town. You couldn’t tell that they have been away from the game for so long everyone on the pitch played their hearts out, we might have gone down by some goals in the first 20 mins but the last 20 mins we held our own. Bring on the next game. Well done all! Player of the match :- debated by the lovely parents HENRY!

First game of the new season for U11 Blacks today away to Biggleswade youth. The Blacks started of strong and played some nice attacking football. Hares were on top for most of the first half playing most of their game in the opposition half. Goals from both sides scored in the first 30 mins meant that the Blacks had to keep their heads up and keep playing their game. Goal keeper Jed made some spectacular saves which bought praise from both sets of parents and coaches. Second half was much the same with the Blacks being the dominant side. Even in the last minutes of the game Hares were trying for another goal. A great entertaining game to watch and the team should be very proud of their performance. Goals from; Paul, Noah & Leo. MOTM went to Leo.

The Under 13’s travelled to Baldock Crusaders this weekend with a depleted squad of only 11 players. In an evenly matched opening to the game The Hares had chances to break the deadlock but it was Baldock who went ahead on 22mins after the visitors failed to shut the ball down on the edge of the box. Baldock doubled their lead when once again The Hares failed to clear the ball, this time from a corner. Despite more chances the teams went into half time with the score 2-0 to Baldock. With the advantage of the slope of the pitch in the second half now in The Hares favour the boys put much more pressure on the home side. Although having much more possession and chances The Hares couldn’t find a way past a very good Baldock keeper, and the game finished 2-0 to the home side. Despite the loss this was a much better performance by the lads than last week. Hopefully they can take some positives from this weeks game into next Sundays match vs Stotfold Juniors and their first league win of the campaign is not too far away.
