It was a tough morning for the U7s today at home against PSKA Panthers. The boys battled hard and were still smiling at the end despite some very strong opposition. Particular congratulations to Reggie as POM. Well done boys you continue to make us proud. Lovely to see the new boys Vinnie and Jack joining the team.
Today the U8s played Lea sports u8 tigers away. Extremely strong opposition, Hares tried to fight the whole game but couldn’t get any control of the game. Very proud of all the players that turned up today. Player of the match :- Cody P. Started slow but once got going started to make some really good saves!
Hares U11 Yellow 1 v Wormley 0. It was a tight scruffy game against Wormley for Hares U11 Yellows today. Wormley were a strong team but overall Hares just shaded it with Francis scoring the only goal of the game. Todays star player went to Francis mainly because nobody really stood out and his nicely taken goal was the difference.
The U13’s welcomed Stotfold Juniors Golds to Ralph Sadlier this weekend for their first home league game of the season. Looking for their maiden win of the new campaign the game seemed to be following the usual pattern of play this year as The Hares had most of the possession and chances but were not able to find the net, and sure enough, as has been the case in recent games, it was the visitors who took the lead. However the home side were immediately back on level terms when George Clark scored after a neat through ball from Luke Spowart. The Hares soon found themselves 2-1 up when GC found the net again, with Billy Norman this time being the supplier of a great defence splitting pass. The second half began as the first had finished with The Hares enjoying most of the play and once again it was GC who found the net to completed his hat-trick to make it 3-1. The Hares found themselves 4-1 up soon after when a Jamie Lynch cross from the right was headed in at the far post by Sam Barker. The pick of the goals was left for last when Barney O’Hara converted an excellent Beckham-esque free kick from just outside the penalty box to make the final score 5-1. A well deserved win for the boys and some much welcomed points finally on the board.
