Great game for the under 7s today, very competitive against Plantation Youth. Lovely to see William POM in his third game and to welcome Finley to the club on his debut. Lots of goals scored by both teams and enjoyed by all despite the wind!!

Today the under 8s played Hitchin Town u8 Wanderers at Home! Today the game started slow for us, but by the 3rd 10mins we picked up our game! And we scored 2 more goals! I will like to say a massive thank to all the team for keeping their heads up and playing their hardest against a really hard team but at least all 7 of them got a run out and enjoy themselves. Player of the match :- Betsy, she was the smallest player on the field which didn’t stop her from trying her hardest to fight! Star Player(s) :- This week All of them!!! Well done Hares!!!

The U11 Orange side played away at F.C.Comets this morning. Never going to be the prettiest of games with such a strong wind and long grass in desperate need of cut. For all of hares possession and clear chances it was difficult to break Comets down. The second half continued in same manor with hares creating chances, only for the final ball, pass not quite up to our usual standard Solid performances from James & Harry at the back and M.O.T.M Francis D who never gave up from start to finish.

It was a chilly 10:00am morning in Braughing, where Hares U15s had a game against Blacksox. The manager for Hares knew the physicality and pace of Blacksox, and was discussing formations and tactics in the week leading up to the game. We knew we were missing some players who were on holiday, so everyone had to step up their fitness and whole game in general. We started off slow, conceding two goals in the first 10 minutes. Instead of our heads dropping, we got back up and started playing good passing football. This paid off as in the last 10 minutes Aus G played a quality through ball for Dom G to slot home on the outside of his left foot. Halftime probably came at a bad time for us as we were really piling on the pressure. The second half started the same as the end of the first, with Hares putting on pressure on Blacksox’s defence. Halfway through the second half, Dan played a ball down the line to Dom G, who crossed it in for Ed who pounced on the ball with Harry H scoring on the rebound. After this, Blacksox started to get nervous and more challenges were flying in. However, a free kick was given to Blacksox in the last five minutes, which their full back delivered into the box and over the goalies head. Heads went down momentarily, but the boys motivated the team to get back in the game. Unfortunately, time ran out and after the goal the full time whistle went. Noah got MOTM for his work rate in the last three games but today everyone had a chance for MOTM because everyone played very well, individually and as a team. Unlucky boys onwards and upwards and focus on the next game against Codicott. (Reported by Dom) – who would like to have a go at reporting next week from the boys??
