Under 7s played well again this morning, away to Royston Town, and the scoreline does not show a true reflection of how well the boys did. Samuel MOTM with a great display of skills, well done to William on his debut and we look forward to more fun next week.
Today the under 8s played AFC Walkern away! The Hares played really well this week despite going in to the game knowing it would be hard for us again, we had a couple of brilliant chances to score so well done to everyone, hold your heads up and let’s all look forward to next week in the new league! Player of the match :- George, Star player :- Cody P
Hares U11 Yellow v Welwyn Garden City – Quite simply we were very very good today against Welwyns top U11 team. We moved the ball round quickly and with everyone on top of their game it made us a joy to watch. There were goals from Javi, Francis, Billy and Zane and Roberto was man of the match for his performance at right back, he did exactly what was asked of him brilliantly well. Well done
Baldock vs Hares U11 Orange – From start to finish hares dominated, winning every 50/50 ball, keeping their shape and passing the ball at every opportunity. Half time saw hares just the single goal up, after a brave header from Francis. The second half continued in the same manor with hares creating chance after chance but not finishing. Hares scored mid way through the second half with a cool finish from Francis then with just minutes to go and the game ending Toby W scored from close range. There were some solid performances all over the pitch, but none more than M.O.T.M Kai Somers. First too everything, in the air and on the ground.
U15s continued their recent run of good results with a win at home today against Bury Rangers Reds. Hares started well and dominated possession with good passing and interplay. The Bury defence were well organised and kept our attacks at bay. We reached half time 0-0 but had lost Aus C to an ankle injury. After the break Bury won a number of corners and it needed Ed to make a couple of good saves to keep them out, together with some great blocks from our defenders. The first goal went to the visitors, when initially clearing a corner the following cross found a Bury player unmarked on the back post to put them ahead. It didn’t take Hares long to equalise following a scramble in the box which saw Joe B poke the ball in, all to play with 15 minutes left! The winning goal came after a free kick was given to the home team on the edge of the box directly centre of the goal. Harry H stepped up and curled his shot low along the ground to find the bottom corner of the goal, 2-1 to the Hares. Chances came and went for both teams but the final whistle went to ensure the home side took the 3 points. A hard fought game but on balance Hares deserved the victory! Man of the Match Harry.
