Rain stopped play for the under 7s this week so some very disappointed boys, but i am sure the parents loved all that extra energy!!

Today the under 8s played Royston Town U8 eagles! Well what can I say about today, it was our first game since going down a league, We got much more play far more then we have had all season, the atmosphere was so much better, all the team enjoyed playing and that is what this age is all about! Go out enjoy the game! Thank you all I know I say this like every week but I am so proud of how hard (when they listen lol) they all try! Player of the match :- Henry, it wasn’t just the way he played today which got him the player of the match this week it was also the way he was organising the team even when he was off the pitch! Star Players :- Daniel and Betsy!!

The U11 Orange side played away at Hitchin town this morning in what is always a close encounter. Hares started the brighter, attacking at every opportunity and were rewarded when Beeshman raced away and supplied the perfect cross, finding Woody at the back post, who slotted home from close range. Some sloppy defending saw the home side get a goal back  against the run of play. The second half saw some good football from both sides, with Hares just edging the chances. The three at the back ( James, Kai & Harry) looked as solid as ever, improving all the time. M.O.T.M today went to Woody, not just for a great finish, but his overall work rate.

Hares U11 Yellows played host to Hurst Drive today. Hurst are a strong and physical side with some very gifted players, one player stood out in particular as having amazing strength and pace, however, they didn’t make the most of this and could have caused Hares some damage by sending balls down the channels or over the top. Hares on the other hand were very well organised and dominated the game. We moved the ball into wide positions quickly and back inside to create excellent some chances, our goals scored by Francis came from just such a move. Todays match referee said after the game that our football was some of the best he’s seen at that age group. Another goal from Luca rounded things off and a fantastic late save from Charlie earned him star player. Well done

The Under 13’s travelled to bottom of the table Letchworth Garden City Eagles this weekend, and came away with an easy 11-0 Win. In a very one-sided match The Hares were 7-0 up at half time, the goals in coming (in order) from Luke Spowart, Luke Spowart (Pen), George Clark, George Clark, Joey Wedge, George Clarke and Luke Spowart. The second half goals coming from Jamie Lynch (x2) Luke with his 4th of the match and not to be outdone, George C with his 4th of the game. The boys will definitely be coming up against much stronger opposition next week against 2nd placed Plantation Youth.
