The Under 13’s were finally back in action after 4 weeks off due to bad weather and the Christmas break, welcoming Knebworth Youth to Ralph Sadleir on Sunday.

The Hares started well and were enjoying much more possession than the visitors, but were not able to convert their chances and the teams went into half time locked at 0-0. The second half continued as the first had, with The Hares having most of the play and Knebworth only threatening the home side’s goal with the odd counter attack. The deadlock was finally broken with about 10mins to go when Jamie Lynch crossed from the right to find Luke Spowart on the edge of the box, who finished well to make it 1-0 to The Hares. Despite having further chances the home side couldn’t add to their score and the game finished with a well deserved 1-0 win for the lads, which moves them up to 4th in the League. Man of the match went to Jake Williams who put a good solid performance in this week.
