U11 Blacks welcomed Baldock this morning, Hares were on top right from the start, they played a very dominant game, keeping the ball and attacking in numbers and when they lost the ball they worked hard together to gain back possession. The football was very good and was a joy to watch, a muddy pitch made some wide play a little difficult but the Blacks never stopped and should be very proud of themselves. Goals from Jed, Charlie and Bradley. MOTM went to Jed.

The U11 Orange travelled to Manuden today. Hares started the game brightly this morning, playing the ball around and working hard. The opening goal came from an amazing solo effort from Beeshman, breaking away and finishing in style. The second half saw the home side score straight from the kick-off, catching the boys asleep. That kick started Hares with some good performances all over the pitch, and particularly from Francis with M.O.T.M going to Charlie.

The Under 13’s welcomed Baldock Town to Ralph Sadlier this week, who had taken over at the top of the league after The Hares’ excellent draw against St. Neots last week. The lads knew they were going to be in for another hard game, and with the squad being hit by illness and only having 10 fit players available it looked like it was going to be a real struggle to get anything from the game. With the team setting up very defensively it was obvious that chances were going to be very few and far between. Despite Baldock having the extra player advantage The Hares started well, soaking up the pressure and attacking Baldock on the odd counter, and it was one of these counter attacks that produced a goal when Dom Hart put George Clark through, who cut across the defender and slotted pass the keeper to make it 1-0. The Hares were now playing with real confidence and were able to hold on to their lead going in to half time. The second half saw the home side under constant pressure from Baldock, but The Hares defence were playing superbly and were frustrating the visitors by keeping them at bay. Despite the onslaught the Hares were able to hold on to their lead, even having the odd chance to add to their score, and the game finished with a very well deserved 1-0 win for the lads. An excellent performance by the team this week with all the players showing real effort and desire throughout the game. MOTM went to Billy Norman who was the engine in the middle of midfield.

With a few postponements Hares U15s have had two cup games recently. They beat Wormley 6-2 a couple of weeks ago and today had a league cup match against Lemsford. Goals from Dom X 2, Matt, Aus and Joe made sure they went into the next round against a tough Amonia who are currently 2nd in the premier division. Man of the match was Joe
