Wow what a difference a week makes, skins and tracksuit bottoms were a thing of the past as hares u7s took on Ashwell for their final home game of the season. Sun cream and plenty of fluids were needed as the blacks got underway this morning. Plenty of goals scored and some great football on display but MOTM performance by William, keeping a clean sheet whilst in goal and good skills on the pitch, well done.

The oranges started at 11am and as the temperatures rose so did the enjoyment for the boys. Some great skills being developed and smiles all round so a real pleasure to manage. MOTM for Louis well done.

A special mention goes out to our wonderful ladies who organise and run our tea stall every week. They dedicate their Saturday mornings (and probably Friday nights planning) to ensure our parents, players and visitors have refreshments. From the management team we offer you our thanks and appreciation, fingers crossed you continue next year ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰.

Last game next week away to Stotfold, lets finish it with a good one

The Under 13โ€™s travelled to Knebworth this week hoping to finish on a high in their last League game of the season. An evenly contested first half didnโ€™t see too many chances created by either side and the game went into half time at 0-0. With the slight slope of the pitch in The Haresโ€™ favour for the second half the visitors were confident that they would break the deadlock, but once again, as has been the story in recent weeks, The Hares found themselves 1-0 down when Knebworth found the net. It only got worse for the visitors soon after when Knebworth doubled their lead to make it 2-0. Despite this The Hares kept their heads up, and finally began to get a hold of the game, and with 20 minutes remaining a great finish by George Clark made it 2-1. The Hares were now showing some real effort and were rewarded by their commitment when George C bagged his second of the game to make it 2-2. It was now all Hares pressure as they pushed to find the winner, but time was not on their side and the game finished 2-2, which was probably a fair result. MOTM was voted for by the parents this week which went to Jake W for an impressive performance throughout the game.

Well done to all the players this season, and hopefully by keeping the squad together weโ€™ll be able to push on next year and build on what has been a relatively good year for the Under 13โ€™s. Good luck to the team in their next competitive outing which will be the Buntingford 5-a-side Tournament in May.
