U8 Blacks league fixture was cancelled today as the opposition could not get a side, so our boys had a friendly against FC Comets who are three divisions above us!! An early start was needed but that didn’t hold them back and were even goals to the good at half time! Liam scored a hat trick and received MOTM from the parents votes, but FC Comets had a lovely touch nominating Samuel as their team MOTM. Well done boys, you all fought hard and are starting to really work as a team with some great passing and teamwork. Home game next week, so bring on the bacon rolls!!!

U8 Oranges were away against Letchworth this morning in their first league fixture of the year. The boys tried really hard and there were some great tackles and some good team work especially in the second half. Unfortunately a little bit of mismanagement from the opposition meant two players from the higher division came in to help out and they proved to be too strong for our boys, scoring several goals between them. Liam was voted MOTM scoring two goals, well done boys.

The U14’s had a lunchtime kick off away at Bishops Stortford Youth United and came away with a comfortable win. With 3 goals from George Clark 1 from Billy Norman and a Man of the Match performance from Joey Wedge scoring 6.

A trip to White Hart Lane on Sunday for the U16s against Rap Aid Youth. It was a newly formed team so the boys were going into the unknown. Hares started the game a bit shaky and nervous and had to adapt their game to play on Astro turf but the boys soon found their feet. Half way through the first half Luke intercepted the ball, passed it to Aus who flicked it up for Dom, the keeper came out and Dom lobbed it over his head. Just before half time Ollie and Aus played a 1:2 down the line and Aus had the ball in the box, after getting pressure by the defenders Aus turned and shot into the roof of the net. The second half was a game of missed chances from a few of the players and great defending by the boys as they hung on to a 2-0 victory. Luke was awarded MOTM
