Both the u8s were at home today, with the oranges starting proceedings against Biggleswade United. It was a close game last time these two sides met and Hares had a full complement of boys available. Biggleswade started on the front foot but Hares soon got going with Jack scoring before quarter time and it was still all to play for. Some great performances from the boys led to a first goal from Leo for the club, who demonstrated throughout the game what a great player he is becoming. Injury to our goalie meant the game became a little distorted but the team continued to work hard and never gave up, well done boys. Fingers crossed Finley recovers for next week but full credit to Leo as MOTM who made some great runs and scored his second with a good finish.

U8 blacks took on Letchworth Eagles at home today who always prove to be a challenging side. Again we had a full complement of boys available and the later start of 11am meant they were raring to go. Last week Harry scored 3 earning him the name Hat trick Harry and showed again today that this accurate nickname!! Great game for the spectators with goals at both ends and a MOTM performance from Louis who worked hard, tackled well and made some good passes. Roll on Royston away next week

Goals from Francis (2) and Jack helped to secure today’s win for the U12 Yellows against Potters Bar. As we expected Potters Bar proved to be a well organised and resilient opposition. We were equally solid in the first half and there wasn’t much in it until Jack scored just before half time. During the break we discussed the need to raise our game and the players didn’t disappoint, I thought we were brilliant in the second half. Potters Bar scored an early penalty which was awarded for a soft hand ball decision but other than that we controlled the game. Francis and Jack took their goals well and both boys should probably have scored more, Beeshman, James and Luca all had good chances as well. Kai played a holding role in midfield and was superbly disciplined. Toby, Connor and Harry all had great games at the back as did Jamie, today’s Star Player today was our new goalie who is settling in well, his performance was excellent. Well Done
